The Hessequa Municipality established an Events Committee, responsible for the coordination and consideration of all applications to host an event within the Hessequa Municipal boundaries. The Events Committee will be guided by the Hessequa Municipal Events Bylaw of 2012.

An online Events Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, 04 November 2025 from 08h30 until 09h30, with the objective of formally confirming the event application process, the event application form, event application fee and requirements per event stakeholder, including the South African Police, Emergency Medical Services, Municipal Town Planning, Traffic Services and Health Services.

Event organisers hosting events within the boundaries of the Hessequa Municipality are invited to register their attendance by contacting Ms. M Conradie at psreception@hessequa.gov.za and 0287137817.

The Hessequa Municipal area includes the towns of Witsand, Heidelberg, Riversdale, Stilbaai, Jongensfontein, Albertinia, Gouritsmond, Vermaaklikheid, Melkhoutfontein and Slangrivier.
