HESSEQUA – SATSA’s Garden Route and Overberg regions, in partnership with WESGRO, has launched the 2020 SATSA Overberg / Garden Route Mega Fam. It will showcase the regions beloved attractions, lesser-known gems, small towns and hospitable establishments – in time for incorporating into your post-pandemic packages for locals and internationals alike.
The Mega Fam takes place from 20 – 25 October 2020 and mark our gradual and much-anticipated move from virtual to in-person events.
As part of the Mega Fam, a Round Robin network session was held whereby product owners had the opportunity to present and showcase their or their regions offers. Hessequa Tourism, through the initiative of the Senior Tourism and Development Office, Mr Riaan Malan, attended the event to introduce Hessequa – The Explorer’s Garden Route to the buyers. Hessequa Tourism received a stand, which was decorated in local Fynbos, Baleia Wines, Gourikwa Nature Reserve Honey, Oudwerfskloof Olives, Kransfontein Olive Oil, Baleia Olive Oil, Alcare Aloe Gel, License Disks from MondeTravel and marketing material from Gourits Fishing, Dibiki Holiday Resort Riversdale, Aloe Ferox, Julius Gordon Africana Centre, Inverroche DIstillery, Kweekkraal Guest Farm and Voëlroepersfontein. The Hessequa Tourism stand also contained a video, showcasing the natural beauty, attractions, activities and facilities within Hessequa.
The Garden Route Game Lodge, Natasha Doherty had a beautiful presentation on the Game Lodge and the corresponding activities and facilities. The Garden Route Game Lodge is truly a destination worth visiting and is ideal for locals to explore via a day visit.
The buyers in attendance included, HotSpots2C, Albatros Travel, African Travel Getaways and All Out Africa.
