The Witsand West Camping & Caravan Resort is the first Park as you enter the town and offers travelers 92 camping plots with a play area for the little ones. The facilities is well maintained and the selection of trees offers decent shade during the day. The plots comes standard with their electrical points. Guests are required to bring their own braai facilities and utensils.

The Witsand area is well known as a top watersport destination with the Indian Ocean and Breede River meeting each other in town. From July to November, Witsand is offers the best Whale Watching along the Garden Route, with the ocean giants calving at the Bay. The Blue Flag Beach of Witsand is ideal for surfing, kitesurfing, deep sea fishing and sun lounging, while the magnificent Breede River is a mecca for fishing.
