The Preekstoel Camping, Caravan & Self-Catering Resort is practically on the beach and offers travellers 404 camping plots, 16 self-catering units and a youth hostel which can accommodate a total of 60 guests.

The Preekstoel Camping, Caravan & Self-Catering Resort has well shaded camping plots due to the selection of trees on the grounds. The venue also has well maintained ablution facilities, clean grounds and direct access to the Blue Flag Beach.

The Beverly Hills venue also forms part of the greater Preekstoel Camping, Caravan & Self-Catering Resort.

The Preekstoel beach yields Blue Flag Status and is a popular visitors point as you’ll be able to see the historic Preekstoel rock formation on the beach – over the years, the Preekstoel rock formation has deteriorated due to the movement of the ocean tide. Long, lazy beach days and the enjoyment of mocktails are the order of the day at Preekstoel.

The Preekstoel Camping, Caravan & Self-Catering Resort is a popular option for young professionals, young families and youth groups travelling the region. The Resort is also affiliated with the Western Cape Resort Association.

Please note that cash payment is only allowed for the payment of the key deposits and breakage fees.

The only methods of payment will be via debit card or electronically(EFT). This can be done at the various caravan parks or at the municipal offices during office hours. This is to combat high transfer costs of cash and for security risks.
