People are always pleasantly surprised when they find the Korentepoort Dam, just 18 km outside of Riversdale. The massive dam is popular among watersport enthusiasts – you can go waterskiing, windsurfing, parasailing, canoeing and bass-fishing.
There are also some hiking trails that can be enquired about at the reception, as well as mountain biking that can be enjoyed through the Cape Pine plantation.
The venue allows limited day visitors to braai, have picnics and to enjoy a day of fishing (fishing permit required).
If you choose to spend the night, the resort has well equipped self-catering chalets with views of the dam and the Langeberg Mountain range. The self-catering units has everything you need with 2 bedrooms rooms, a kitchen, bathroom, lounge and a outside braai. The venue also has camping facilities available for travellers looking for an off-the-beaten-track experience.
Korentepoort Dam is accessible via gravel road which is suited for all vehicles. The venue is off-the-beaten-track and ideal for families and friends looking for wide open spaces and a tranquil experience.
