The Daily Maverick publication has launched an initiative, in search for the best small towns to visit within the country.

Hessequa Tourism would like you to nominate your favourite Hessequa town, according to the criteria below. You can read more on the Hessequa towns, by following the website link https://explorersgardenroute.co.za/our-towns/

The following guidelines apply for the nomination process:

1. The nominated small town must have less than 50 000 residents
2. When nominating a town, list as much possible tourist facilities you can think of e.g. restaurants, day visitor experiences, accommodation, events, ect.
3. The Daily Maverick editors will screen nominations against the criteria (number of residents and tourist experiences listed) to determine the finalists.
4. The nomination phase is open from 02 October 2023 until 23 October 2023.
