Hessequa is a region that offers a variety of discoveries that awaits you. The Explorer’s Garden Route Tourism Indaba provided a golden opportunity to start this journey and to highlight the region’s best products and opportunities. Your participation in this process  was to bring suggestions for optimal marketing and use of these tourism products.

Thank you for your presence and input. Without everyone’s participation the FIRST Hessequa Explorer’s’ Garden Route Tourism Indaba would not have been such a resounding success. For those who missed this historic opportunity, most of the offers and proposals are available on dropbox. A video production of the two days of proceedings will also be available by the end of November 2016.

The innovative proposals that were highlighted during the Indaba and discussed, is now contained in a future implementation action plan and will form part of the Hessequa Municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP). Additional input from the community are welcome.

As the discussion leader and facilitoator, Prof Erwin Schwella, said: “A project begins when people meet, begin a partnership and bring inclusive ideas to fruition.
