The Sleeping Beauty Hiking Trail covers a scenic trail of 13 km from the Old Toll House to the crest and back. The trail is described as fairly easy and offers a diversity of flora and fauna – with the national flower, the Protrea, the scarce Erica Blenna. The spotting of Cape Weavers; Protea Canary; Cape Siskins; Karoo Prinia’s; Bokmakierie’s; Cape Sugarbirds and Cape Bulbul’s makes for a exiting time along the trail.
The Sleeping Beauty Trail has beautiful views and you can refill on water at the ravine – this is also a good spot for a well deserved rest.
The last stretch of the trail is 1,5km to the crest from where you have the most magnificent views of the Langeberg Mountain.
